Jazz Club
- Iconic
Boston's legendary South End jazz club, family-run since 1947, with live music every night of the year.
Joseph L. Walcott opened Wally's Paradise on New Year's Day 1947, one of the first Black-owned nightclubs in New England; it moved to its present address on Massachusetts Avenue in 1979 and is still run by his family. The small, unpretentious room hosts live jazz, blues and funk every night, with jam sessions that have launched generations of young musicians.
Luxio Perspective
Go for the late sets, when the room fills with musicians; doors open at 7 p.m. Tuesday to Saturday and 9 p.m. on Sunday and Monday.
