Chris' Jazz Cafe has been one of Philadelphia's essential jazz rooms since 1989, a compact club on Sansom Street just off the Avenue of the Arts. Local and touring musicians play five nights a week, from Tuesday to Saturday, and dinner can be paired with the show, while lunch and an early-evening happy hour are served on weekdays. Down Beat magazine has listed it among the world's great jazz venues.
