Bell in Hand Tavern
Boston · Massachusetts
Pub
- Iconic
One of America's oldest taverns, pouring since 1795 beside the Freedom Trail near Faneuil Hall.
The Bell in Hand was opened in 1795 by Jimmy Wilson, Boston's town crier, and takes its name from the bell he carried. Today it is a lively, two-level tavern on Union Street, steps from the Freedom Trail and Faneuil Hall, with live music and an easy-going crowd from lunchtime until late.
Luxio Perspective
Stop in for an afternoon pint after walking the Freedom Trail, before the evening crowds arrive.
