The Garden District's landmark of Creole fine dining since 1893, celebrated for its jazz brunch and the Brennan family's hospitality.
Commander's Palace has been a New Orleans landmark since 1893, set in its blue-and-white Victorian building in the Garden District. Under the Brennan family it became the birthplace of what Ella Brennan called haute Creole, a modern take on the city's cooking shaped by a line of celebrated chefs and led today by Chef Meg Bickford. Its weekend jazz brunch, with a live jazz trio, is a New Orleans tradition, and dinner is a polished, unhurried affair. It remains one of the city's essential tables.
