Central BBQ (Midtown)

The original Central BBQ in Midtown, a Memphis favourite for slow-smoked ribs, pulled pork and barbecue nachos.

Central BBQ opened its first restaurant on Central Avenue in Midtown Memphis in 2002, smoking its meats over hickory and pecan wood. The original location was rebuilt on the same lot and reopened in January 2025, and it remains the place to try the house ribs, pulled pork and the barbecue nachos that have become a local staple.
