Philadelphia Old City Walking Tour

America's founding story, on foot

Philadelphia is where the Declaration of Independence was adopted and the Constitution was written, and this guided walk follows that story through the compact streets of Old City. The route passes Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell, Carpenters' Hall, Congress Hall and the First Bank of the United States, along with the Betsy Ross House and the Arch Street Meeting House. It then crosses Center City by way of City Hall and the city's celebrated murals, pauses for free time at Reading Terminal Market, and finishes at the Philadelphia Museum of Art, at the foot of the famous Rocky Steps.
