Where the nation was born

Independence Hall, part of Independence National Historical Park and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is where the Declaration of Independence was adopted in 1776 and the United States Constitution was drafted and signed in 1787. National Park Service guided tours lead visitors into the Assembly Room, where both documents were signed, and through the building's historic rooms. The Liberty Bell is displayed in its own center across Chestnut Street.
