On the desert side of the Giza Plateau, licensed camel handlers offer short rides across the sand, with the pyramids of Khufu, Khafre and Menkaure lined up on the horizon. It is an optional addition to a plateau visit rather than a tour in itself, and is usually taken near the panoramic viewpoint.
