Snowshoeing the winter Castle Creek Valley

The Aspen Center for Environmental Studies leads a half-day snowshoe tour from the King Cabin at the Ashcroft Ski Touring Center, up the snowbound Castle Creek Valley near the Ashcroft ghost town. A naturalist guide reads the tracks, trees and snow of the winter valley over about 3.5 miles of gentle terrain, and the tour ends with lunch at Pine Creek Cookhouse, which is paid for separately.
